Your Occupiers need YOU!!

The thousands of Canadians who are "Occupying" cities across Canada NEED YOUR SUPPORT!!!! This site has been created to bring families and people together to help support our local Occupiers. Millions of us can not camp out to show our solidarity with the Occupations, but we can do a vitally important job: SUPPORT THE OCCUPATIONS!!!

What can YOU do to help? Occupiers need help to keep the occupations going.

They need:

-FOOD: preferably HOT and nutritious. In the cold weather, the body burns more calories to keep warm. It is vitally important that the people standing up to represent us are FED!!!

-COLD WEATHER GEAR: Tents, Sleeping Bags, Blankets, Tarps,

-COLD WEATHER CLOTHING: Coats/Jackets, Sweaters, All weather clothing, Socks, Hats & Gloves & Scarves, Boots

-EQUIPMENT: Generators, Solar cels/panels, Various Electronics, Tables, Chairs, Large containers for Storage,

-MISC: Cardboard for signs and for ground insulation, Markers and Paint for signs, note books, pens & pencils,

How Can YOU support your local Occupation? Can you make a big pot of soup to take down to the Occupiers? Can you make/bake/cook something nutritious and take it to them? Can you deliver food/supplies from other families who are helping to the Occupation? Do you have camping gear that you can donate? Do you have some extra sweaters/coats/cold weather gear that you can donate?

Get your local businesses involved!!! Small businesses are being punished by the Canadian government/banks as much as families are. Can you contact some local businesses and ask for donations? Food? Clothing? Equipment?

Contact your local thrift stores- can they donate warm clothes?

THIS is how you can support your local Occupation!!!

Please share this post out, tweet about it,  and link to this site- we need to gather together supporters to help our representatives stand up for OUR FAMILIES.

  1. Those are great ideas! I was at our local Occupation in Halifax on Saturday but work commitments won't allow me to be there all day every day. I think I'll take your advice and round up some supplies for the folks downtown. Thanks!
